The Kochs are already starting to pull away.

I keep saying that the people I know who are currently “Putin is a strong leader!” were the very people just a few years ago who were screaming about communism being the very worst thing that could happen.

Thank you for putting this in a way I couldn’t pin down. I actually feel a little better now.

I read a poll (I know) from a “reputable” organization the other day that said that in January 42% of Trump supporters supported him using a private email server.

I had to stop Facebooking/news checking by 8:30 every night (I go to bed after midnight) just so I didn’t feel like I was seconds away from a stress-related heart condition 24/7.

I’m pretty sure RBG will not retire with this kind of president at the helm. She knows she has to stay.

I assume it has something to do with seeing horrible, trying cases over the years. I liken it to several nurses I know who started out being anti-abortion/euthanasia, but the more time they spend with people who are suffering the more sympathetic they become.

When I first saw his name I pictured it being pronounced like a really throaty, German-sounding “GORSCH” and you know what? I’m not going to correct my brain. I like it. I am avoiding instances where his name is said properly until someone ruins it for me with the correct pronunciation, just because I am totally fine

I’ve always wondered what was more scandalous at the time, but I can tell you that if we remade it today and just modernized it, the pearl-clutching would come over the bosom. Guar-an-teed.

Today I keep thinking of her acting as the leading figure in an American version of Delacroix’s “Liberty Leading the People”, which is to symbolize the charge to overthrow King Charles X during the French Revolution.

But Daleks tend to use words with more than a two syllables, so they are clearly not as related as they appear.

Same here. Grew up in a ranch home and so many of my friends did as well. I grew up in a tiny midwest rural town, so the vast majority of buildings were just one story. I had to use stairs to get to my fourth and fifth grade classrooms, but my middle and high schools were both just one level. It wasn’t until college

I’m surprised you were able to keep playing. I was playing FFVII this January until the inauguration, then it was just too much to handle. While he’s definitely closer to Kefka/Gestahl than the Shinras, the power-hungry heads of the Shinra Corporation were still hitting too close to home for me.

My very first thought when I heard this was the movie chosen was how much Ellen would hate this.

...d-did you see the poll toward the bottom? The one that says that 42-freaking-percent of Trump voters thinks he should be able to have a private email server?!

I envy those lucky bastards.

I am so bummed this will never happen.

I was reading a report this morning from the New York Times that said his schedule is that he gets up at 6 am every morning to watch cable news and read a couple newspapers.

(It also said that now he has to stop doing that at 9 am so he can “go to work”, which is earlier than he did when he was still at Trump Tower.

And it’s not even a “report from a staffer who wishes to remain anonymous”. It’s from the press there that day.

Yup, two in a period of three Saturdays.
