I’m quite fond of “Dakika”. I could easily see Thirteen pacing in the TARDIS, talking to herself as she tries to figure out the solution to a seemingly impossible problem. There’s enough of a driving beat to push the scene forward, but there’s also a sense of wonder that I love in my Who.

It appears that the former head of the Office for Government Ethics will be announcing a national protest sometime this evening. He’s been very, very passionate about this.

Oooh. Which evangelists?

I saw this morning that the former director for the Office of Government Ethics (Walter Shaub) is greatly hinting at national protests. He said there will be an announcement this evening.

Guaranteed.

I agree. I had always appreciated him from afar, adoring his gentle inclusion, incredible curiosity, and no-shits-given attitude. I have only watched his shows in a few weekend binge sessions. I have not read his book, although it’s always been on my list (I was a line cook for a couple years so I have a great

During my lunch break I scrolled through my Facebook feed. Within the first 30 or so posts, only one post was about something other than Bourdain. The only other time I’ve seen such a dark blanket of grief on my feed was when Robin Williams died.

Thanks for the response! I figured that’s what I how I needed to say it but it’s nice to be assured it’s the correct avenue. I feel more confident in talking to him now.

I wanted to check in with him but I just wasn’t sure if “Are you okay?” was enough. Or maybe too much. I just wanted to do what was best for him. Thank you. <3

This week was bad enough as it was. I really, really adored Bourdain’s work. My soul aches for both him and Kate.

There was a woman in my dorm six doors down from me who also had a shower song she listened to on repeat: “The Whisper Song” by the Ying Yang Twins. Since she was far enough away all I could hear was the bass. It’s the same the whole way through and is incredibly simple. I hear anything close to that bass line these

My Grandma is in her mid-80s and she still would rather self-immolate than let her children pay for meals. She wants to pay so badly that she comes up with creative ways to pay before my parents can, like pretending to go to the bathroom but was instead finding the waitress so she can pay in secret.

This is how I decide as well.

I had to go the ebook route for the same reason. The app Libby estimated it would take SIXTEEN WEEKS until it ended up in my hands. I’m not waiting until August, people.

I’m surprised he’s only tweeted it 174 times, to be quite honest.

You’d think after Manafort’s “Rise and Shine! It’s the FBI!” home search last summer that one would get rid of highly incriminating evidence but nooooo...

Huh. I’ll have to look into it. I have had zero issues with mine (as someone who is believed to have endometriosis, getting one was the best decision I’ve ever made), but it’ll be nice to know what has been happening to others in case problems do pop up.

I grew up in a tiny midwestern farming town, and I can tell you that back home the hatred stems from the belief that they—good, hard-working folk!—had to pay for their own food, while those who receive food stamps are lazy, lying grifters who just want to be fed for free while they sit around on their bums all day and

Whoa, what about lawsuits and Mirena?

I very nearly choked on my breakfast when I saw “pubic housing”. That’s right: it’s still up there, almost 24 hours later!
