It’s rather funny that this has a bigger legacy than the show itself, since Ally McBeal never had much of a syndicated rerun life.

I don’t understand the reasoning behind this. They already paid for this stuff years ago. Unless they’re renting the episodes (and all the other shows) out to another streamer as an exclusive, how does this benefit them financially?

Elmo better learn how to renovate a three-story walkup on Sesame Street if he wants to live in a Warner Bros. Discovery world.

This is genuine ignorance on my part, but what is the motivation for cutting out something that’s already been produced and has been streaming? Is there a cost aside from server space and such? It’s not like there are advertisements in those programs (on HBO Max, anyway). I mean, I get if it’s licensed IP and the

It’s funny because that was the fear with making HBO Max in the first place. People thought putting all of HBO’s prestige programming next to shit like Big Bang Theory and The CW shows would only harm the brand. And then, instead, HBO Max had a hell of a first year or so. Everyone subscribed to it, it was a fantastic

I got a notifica di Comunità for this?!

I hate to be That Guy given the context, but if I’m reading you correctly I think you might mean ‘cold comfort’.

Look, do you really expect the 20-something interns who now run the site to even understand what a “blog” is? Or to spend more than 20 seconds skimming a website before confidently farting out a newswire?

No they didn’t go extinct.

I'm going with that she gave the body a series of preprogrammed commands for it to carry out when her pearl lost connection, fully remove pearl, stretch out arm, crush pearl. Not too big of a leap of logic.

I did not care for the ending of this season. I feel like they are telling us that sentient life can’t survive but not effectively showing us that. I guess a generous assessment is that all of the strong characters besides Dolores had to be cleared off the board for any long term human/host survival to be possible. S

Maybe they can talk him into an N.Y. Anecdote.

Pretty sure an exploding golf ball is the exact opposite of “a bizarre twist of fate where you’d never even know an assassin had been there”.

Happy for her success, I’ve been a fan since Legion.

Finally , quality programming on HBO Max that I couldn’t possibly get anywhere else and is no way similar to any other show!

Less extreme, but I kind of thought the same about using the prestige HBO brand name for the bit-of-everything service that HBO Max is, though.

Maybe it’s just because I’m becoming an old and remember HBO as *the* channel for prestige TV, but isn’t it kinda hurting the brand to be merging it with Flip or Flop and folding laundry TV?

For me, the real star of the show is the building. It’s the previous home of Bell Labs in Holmdel NJ. I loved working in that building and it’s both heartwarming and sad to see it again. It had three restaurants, a bank, movie rental, dry cleaners, and the most wonderful library of technical documents.
