How many of them are new, $100,000+ vehicles? A few Ferraris burn, which are covered here, but you want them to write an article every time a ‘02 Buick catches fire? Plus, there’s a difference between a gas fire and lithium battery fire.

Haven’t accomplished a damn thing in our lives? I once did that thing where you put a pile of coins on your elbow and swing your hand down to catch them, and I’m pretty sure I got, like, 75% of those coins. A lot clattered under the couch, but still. Checkmate.

And yet Elon will never notice you.

You’re right, the rant does fall apart if you change one of the words in the quote to another word.

+10 points on the hp take. The numbers here are largely just brochure fodder anyways, similar to 0-60 figures which serve as bragging rights but really make a minimal difference in real life driving.

This is obviously a comment from Reddit, but I find the lack of logic illuminating:

No.

I own a Tesla M3 Performance. It is simultaneously the most advanced vehicle on the road in some ways and the most third world car in others. Fortunately my car has been pretty much faultless, but it’s only been about 10k miles.

A review written by an experienced development driver, with technical insights and detailed descriptions of vehicle dynamics - for a moment I forgot I was on Jalopnik! Great review - would like to read more from you!

Everyone is interested in robo taxis. No one is close, including Tesla. Unfortunately too many believe the hype and put themselves and others at risk on the road.

1st Gear.... I guess I gotta eat my words from yesterday. This has to be the first post (at least part of a post) that isn’t entirely negative from Erik that I can remember in a long time. Thank you! It gets so dreary continually reading blanket, negative, throw the baby out with the bathwater, type posts. Hopefully

Plaid bell-bottoms? How uncouth. A plaid jacket on the other hand:

The factories aren’t even the main point. At least in Europe most of them have mandatory filtration systems, regulations can be quite strict here for industrial emissions.
The complete lack of airplane travel and all the cruise ships staying in the harbor - that did a lot to curb pollution.
Saw a paper back then

Maybe we shouldn’t subscribe to yet another misinterpretation of facts to suit a false narrative.  Between climate change deniers, antivaxxers and flat-earthers, the day could be filled with nonsense that I’d rather not deal with.

Customers who want entry-level vehicles go with Toyota, Honda and Nissan, or they simply go with a pre-owned car.

This is what it comes down to. I really, really don’t care about the philosophies behind one form of government vs. another. I care about end results when it comes to crises like this that are outside of the control of the average person - what the hell is the government put in place going to do about this?

Be honest, you’re not mad that there’s “politics” on Jalopnik, you’re mad because there’s politics you don’t agree with on Jalopnik.

STFU. And then STFU again. Fucking idiot.

As someone who bought all three versions of Integra new from the dealer (I was their target demo in my 20's & 30's) if Acura makes manual, hot-hatch that doesn’t look like a Civic I will buy it even though I’m now in my 50's.
