I’m sure getting dunked on like that might sting for a minute, but once it goes viral...well, you got a stew goin’. By which I mean, you get to be known as the creator of said meme, I guess, and link to your Soundcloud?

I’m glad the dissonance between the supposed source material and this adaptation were acknowledged. I somehow doubt there was a crowd of loyal fans of the graphic novel to disappoint, so short of following through on an option, I don’t see why this couldn’t have been called literally anything else.

So if they had access to the door, uhh...couldn’t they have broken the window? The windshield? The rear window? Seems like someone could have taken the back of an axe or something to some glass to get air into the cabin.

Nope, merchandising literally everything is how Lucas made his money, so I fully expect Disney to follow in his footsteps.

TLJ has that whole sequence of saving the horse things that made me go, “oh yeah, this is basically a kids movie. Maybe I’m too old for this shit.”

My pessimism about their liberal recycling habits (people are comparing designs in the trailer to yet more old concept art from the OT) is outweighed by pessimism about their merchandising habits. Rey will have a new lightsaber of some kind, because it’ll mimic RotJ, and also because they need a new toy to sell.

I mean, you are aware that this is a thread for the sequel to the Last Jedi, right? It’s not like anyone is crashing a Rebels review with their unhinged rant about ruining Luke or something.

Meeeh. Gotta agree, this has felt pretty lackluster in terms of hype, but I’m also not super optimistic about where this is going. I went along with TFA because it was fun, and it was obviously setting things up, but man...TLJ really didn’t do anything for me, besides generating conversations with multiple people

As someone originally from Tulsa, I can appreciate him wanting to make more people aware of the massacre. I’m going to assume most of this was shot somewhere that wasn’t Tulsa though, and I’ll have a good laugh at their fictionalized version of it (that’s probably better to look at than the real city).

Back in my childrenhood (I mean like teenager), I could jump a 6ft fence while running, but this had more to do with the neighborhood I grew up in than anything.

I’m originally from Tulsa, and my guess is to make sure it’s actively acknowledged by the city and community, because they most definitely don’t like to to talk about it. The Oklahoma City Bombing has a big memorial, and moment of silence in schools. Meanwhile, this massacre gets a mention in Oklahoma history class,

Has anyone actually read or looked up the comic? Because from first glance, I find it hard to believe this adaptation has anything to do with the comic.

If they make it that far into the timeline, absolutely. They have a ton of stuff from the MSV magazines, and basically any and all offshoot suits like Madrock.

I think the original GBO got to Zeta-era stuff. Hizack really isn’t that far off of any of the Zaku variants. They have the Full Armor Gundam from Thunderbolt along with the Psycho Zaku, which are both more insane than the Sinanju or Hizack, in terms of too many weapons and stuff. They’ll really just balance them to

I’ve seen the ranking system do that thing where they think one A player with a bunch of D+ players balances things out. I suppose it’s just a matter of whether there are enough people of the same rank to match you with.

As mentioned in another comment, this is Universal Century only. That includes all the variations of those UC suits, so some of them get a little silly, but otherwise it sticks to the more grounded suits in early-ish UC. Also, don’t be misled into thinking this is anything like the mobile game or Gundam Breaker. Those

This was out well before New Gundam Breaker. I would classify it as like...the difference between a Musou/Dynasty Warriors game and like MechWarrior. The Gundam Breaker games were more spammy, lots of enemies coming at you, and GBO is sort of the opposite. Mobile suits are kind of lumbering, and you’re up against a

They’re not quite to UC yet, but give it time. The key will be that the Sinanju will be like a 500 or 550 cost MS, compared to your 200-350 cost Zaku II, unless we’re talking like High Mobility Zaku II R2 or some other version on steriods, and then it’s pretty well balanced. But with the cost difference, a low-cost

They’ve actually had an English option on the Japanese version for months now, and even before that, it wasn’t impossible to navigate or play as someone who can’t read that much Japanese. With that said, I hope they’re doing region-based servers, because otherwise, all of you newbies will be stomped into oblivion for

That was an unusually polite C+ review.
