Go home, internet, you are drunk.

All I know is, the last time I heard about Saw, the words "chainsaw brain surgery" were strung together.

I mean, outside of the off chance you'll be melted by toxic sludge after being hunted down by that cop you brutally dismembered, it's not so bad.

Yeah, I hear the magic happens at 16 in Michigan.

I mean, "how old we talkin'" isn't the ideal response. Something more like "yeah, as long as they're legal" would have done just fine.

That's some real comment-name synergy right there.

Does anyone say some form of "this/war isn't a game?"

Am I the only one who feels completely misled by the trailer for this one? I caught it before one of the recent movies I saw and it came across as a much, much more subdued story about ferrying wounded soldiers. Which is fine, but not something I desperately need to see on the big screen.

Snake Park was pretty bad, honestly. This is as someone who won 90+% of Ranked matches on that map. You could easily deny people their own platform, and playing as a heavy like Mechanica on the platform gave you the maneuverability of a much lighter character. Plus the platform could be used to block/deny rushes and

To be fair, I’ve wrecked a lot of Ranked players for their transparent strategies, so I’d call it a good thing. The AI does seem to be a lot more dynamic in execution at higher levels though. If you learn to play the same way, you’ll be fine. I had only a little trouble with volleyball and Headlok doing my first Level

They're making a comeback thanks to people like her! Eminem was planning to re-release something on cassette recently. It's a crazy world out there.

I had a very cute, goth-type at a local theater go on and on about how cassettes were the absolute best medium, because in an apocalypse, you'd always be able to find something to play them. I just went ahead and let that slide, despite the whole "magnetic heads and power source requirement" arguments I could have

I'm waiting for someone to inevitably come argue about how not everything needs to meet the WB standard or whatever.

Personally, I'm glad he's leaving Silicon Valley. He's clearly had little to nothing to do on the show for a while, and I've never found his aggressive assholery funny. It doesn't help that it doesn't really feel like he's playing much of a character on SV. Side note, Thomas Middleditch isn't branching very far out

Well, the deal with the Entertainment is that it unquestioningly causes viewers to become so addicted that they can't be pulled away from it. There was the running idea that there was a cure being made for the Entertainment, but I recall James or maybe Orin scoffing at that idea. By the way, if this didn't connect

But what good is reading Infinite Jest if you're not constantly holding it up so everyone can see the cover? /s

You'll get there. I believe in you, buddy. My level of self hatred is enough that I'm about to read it a third time, because all this talk about it actively me want to dive back in.

I'll go hang my head in shame for Jestsplaining.

The funny thing is, I never would have read it if not for Man Seeking Woman playing it up as a joke for the entire first season.

It uhhh makes a lot more sense on a re-read, honestly. With it being so painfully dense, there's a shit ton of details you very likely missed. Your confusion about the main character's situation is fairly clear, if you can track the details in some of the one-off stories Pemulis tells late-ish in the book about that
