Not really by Studio Trigger, but when it comes to anime-style openings, the opening intro to Wild Arms and Michiko Naruke’s amazing musical score totally convinced me to get a PlayStation in 1997 — that game and its soundtrack has remained one of my all-time favorites.

Jessica Drew was born near Wundagore Mountain, a mountain and region strongly connected with the Elder God Chthon and his book, the Darkhold.

AV Club, why are your sidebar links frequently showing posts that are 2 years old or more? Or did I end up in some kind of time warp?

Atari’s E.T. game needs some kind of redemption:

I loved Suikoden III so much, particularly Thomas’ scenario, which was a 4th scenario—he was the boy who set up the castle that eventually became the main HQ. Does Mr. X really enter every room that you’ve been to? He was chasing me endlessly, but I got to the point where I ran into the S.T.A.R.S. office and equipped the machine gun, so I stood still and waited for him to enter, but he never did—I could hear his footsteps and he just kept walking past the door several times
