Like other people have mentioned, tail wagging is a very small part in a dog's way of communication, so dogs without tails aren't always doomed, because they have other body parts that they can express themselves with.

Aren't all Aussies born without tails?

I was thinking this as well! I've never met a dog with a docked tail who didn't wag it's entire behind while their little nub tails were being as wagged as fast as possible.

What would another option be? I'm assuming they used a robot dog for safety reasons, and to control other body language. I imagine it would be hard to bring a dog in that would keep the rest of it's body neutral and only wag it's tail, and then wag it in specific ways.

I really like how the other prisoner's back stories play into the theme of "everyone's done things that they were ashamed of/knew were wrong, but these people just got caught doing it". I would like to see more of a resolve into the flashbacks.

I have only seen Briana's episode, but damn, that girl has so much support behind her. Her mom seems really bad ass and she is so lucky to have her mom and her sister to back her up and support her when it seems like so many of these girls either aren't responsible enough to be good parents without their own parents…
