This episode Hawley was not so much a character as an animate prop. That turned out to be a pretty good way to deploy him.

The major accomplishment of the Avengers was closing the portal, so only the vanguard of the Chitauri army made it across. But battle tactics are a little hard to convey with/amid a massive CGI sequence. "Don't ask me to get all analytical when stuff is blowing up so good!"
A few shots of the traditional armed forces showing up to engage the leftovers, and our heroes would be free to enjoy their well-earned victory.
I can kind of see Hydra as the kind of organization that wouldn't give anyone a chance to have second thoughts about unleashing those weapon systems on so many targets. Just in case.
I was hoping it was Captain Underpants.
Now I'm wondering if these techniques could be used to shift the circadian rhythms of the strongly chronotyped — larks and night owls who have trouble resetting their sleep schedules just by going to bed/waking up at the new time.
I skipped 4th edition but I see they don't have body slots, which is a thing I found useful for discouraging munchkin-ish item collection.
"Put Ward in a room with Skye, and you get the possible romance."
When Ichabod mentioned Katrina and Abbie being returned to him, I was assuming he meant out of Purgatory for both.
Term limits just mean that newbies have to rely on staffers and lobbyists for institutional knowledge.
Not only did New Hampshire not elect Scott Brown, we re-elected a Democratic governor, senator and (at least in my district) representative. All women, too.
I think Time Bandits deserves a mention.
It looks like they kept the Leverage writing, directing and producing teams for The Librarians. If it turns out to suck, my worldview will be shattered. If it turns out to be good, I'm worried that Sleepy Hollow's flaws will become magnified in comparison.
"Let her make out with the headless ripped guy." I put Abbie and Headless together last year, purely as an alternative to the relentless IchAbbie shipping. Feel free to run with it.
Plot point in a L&O:Criminal Intent episode.
I had assumed that term limits would just produce a greater reliance on staffers, but lobbyists are even easier. Either way, term limits aren't the answer.
Jean Sherman Chatzky had a book about money and happiness a while back. A survey found that making more money increased happiness up until $50K/year, and then it didn't make a difference. So we have a ballpark figure for what's "enough" money.
I don't mind Hawley as a character, but I do mind the way he's being incorporated. I think he'd be just fine as Jennie's tomb raider friend-with-benefits. There's plenty of reason for Ichabod to dislike him without having him interested in Abbie.
I used a spray bottle, trying to train the cats to stay off the counters. Thea and Valentina didn't need much discouraging. But Zoe would just sit on the counter looking at me like "Why are you doing that?" So I stopped. It didn't take long before Zoe was the boss of me.
Part of the problem is that they mishandled Boromir. He should be He-Man of the Universe. You should look at him and think, "Boromir will save us!" When he proposes using the Ring to defeat Sauron, your brain should think "yes!" even if you've read the books.
