Haha I was once at a gay house party in DC and this guy yelled “has anyone seen my roommate Joe**” and from across the room someone else yelled “He’s upstairs fucking the brains out of some congressman.” It was hilarious...and accurate.

I’ve heard pretty consistently Lieu has his eye on governor down the road (like post Newsom)
Who is mayor yoga pants?
Oh I didn’t forget Villaraigosa...I just hate him. He’s a third-way squish and way too close to Pete Peterson. If he were running as a Democrat from West Virginia, sure fine better than nothing, but from California? Fug No
Haha hmmm I guess the bench is deeper than I thought. I love Becerra, Ted Lieu is my congressman and he’s fine but I don’t love it. Garcetti could be fun but I think he wants Governor. Of that list Barbara Lee is the most exciting to me but I am not sure she could win (I think she’d be vulnerable to a moderate). Ditto…
Agreed but I actually don’t love anyone for 2018...wouldn’t mind holding out until 2024 to see who pops up!
I worked on Bab’s 2010 Reelection campaign. She was so fun too! Obviously a little catty (I think that’s why Feinstein is more popular) but she had that sort of old Hollywood sass about her I just adored.
I have a good friend who works in fashion PR and she knows Katy and Taylor very well. She told me about a year ago that Katy is the absolutely nicest, most genuine of her high profile clients and that Taylor is a total sociopath. So don’t beat yourself up too much!
Haha I know! Well actually had to look it up but once I did I was entirely smitten. It’s the perfect fuckin dig; cruel AND educational!
OH MY GOD! Darth Manicula?! I love that so much. Can I start calling him that?
I am not saying the Democrats are utterly blameless but my point was that the equation is CLEARLY lopsided. It’s the fallacy of the golden mean; sure both sides have made mistakes but it is so obviously and horrendously the Republican party who acts with disregard to institutional and constitutional norms consistently…
That’s idiotic. Both parties are not equally to blame. Democrats had few good options. Reid and his team agonized for literally years avoiding this...how are they “equally” at fault? I am so tired of this false equivalency bullshit that helps scumbags like McConnell and exacerbates this shitty situation.
Same! Hahah “He’s still not able to look his daughters in their eyes”
Yeah I FiveThirtyEight had an interesting piece on how Obama’s margins were closer in all the rustbelt states than people realize (lower than his national average) and Hillary just sort of furthered that trend
Oh my god the ebola shit was INSANE! People seem to have totally forgotten...I think it’s part of the reason Democrats had such a lousy cycle in 2014. It was like wall-to-wall coverage across the country and nothing came of it and no one in the media ever acknowledged how just unhinged and alarmist all the speculation…
Pod Saves America is always bringing up this quote because he’s such a fuckin hypocrite in hindsight
I think you’re sort of conflating two issues: (1) yeah I think people never give her the benefit of the doubt, she’s been in the public eye for so long people think they know everything about her and have a ton of sexist preconceived notions, and she has to be perfect on all policies where as other politicians (cough…
I’m leaning towards Sara Hernandez, she’s recently gotten some endorsements I trust and she seems to have a good reputation downtown
And he actually had a really solid line of attack against ACHA too (talking about how un-Christian the bill and its results were which I think is a savvy line of attack Democrats should use more)
That dynasty reboot is REALLY BAD! All my friends in the industry say the script is comically horrendous. Which is just to say...that may be further proof that we hate Dynasties in ‘Merica
