Control is one of the best games of the last decade. The urban fantasy/bureaucratic horror setting is very well done, the game is gorgeous, the story is engrossing, and the  gameplay is awesome. I suggest it to everyone all the time.

Loved this game until i ran into endless progression blocker bugs and soft locks.  Its unplayable in its current state until rituals are fixed to no longer soft lock the game.

It seems very good! Frustratingly, got soft locked into my camp, all my followers starved or left, and I gave up and started a new save game! Then that save got soft locked on day one, with time not passing, but each time I load the save, my followers faith has eroded as if I’ve kept playing. No money, no food. Lots…

The game is very glitchy on consoles and I’m softlocked until an update on the switch. The game is stuck after performing a ritual and after saving and restarting the resources for the ritual is gone, but it didn’t save the ritual.

The problem is that the Raid mechanics generally require a high degree of coordination, callouts, and choreography, and lots of people are understandably (and sometimes rightfully) reluctant to hop onto voice channels with rando’s they are linked with in matchmaking.

This was THE MOST boring l4D game I have ever played. Gunplay was horrible, environments got old after like the 3rd room, upgrades/perks were bland, bad AI, little to no story/lore.

I tried it out on Gamepass and wasn’t particularly impressed by anything other than the art direction.

Also I think we have different definitions of the middle of middle class.

I honestly feel like Nintendo didn’t actually give us a bunch of free DLC, I really feel like this was just their way of releasing the game early on and patching it up to what it should have been. It’s not uncommon for games that have been out for a while to have their DRM removed. GOG has a DRM-free reputation so it’s not surprising when people see this game listed on it they’d think the DRM no longer applied. Maybe developers can flag a specific achievement with Steam, that shows a player has smashed the game and bars refunds if it has been earned. It would need to be clearly shown to the player in advance though, not hidden away. Not ideal, but perhaps would help in some cases.
