If Destiny 2 is a Free-to-Play shooter than FFXIV and WoW are Free-to-Play MMOs.

I don’t really care about the hot tub thing but I really find the idea that the stuff that goes down on twitch is ‘not all that different that what you would see at a beach or pool’
It’s like Splatoon but with functioning servers.
The game is not interested in you being able to follow the story unless you’re willing to pay and play for every season as they release. FOMO sells.
I’ve long since come to terms with the fact that, for me, Destiny was always at it’s peak when Bungie was supported by other studios. Every expansion they’ve done on their own has been heavy on lore and light on content. Ontop of that seasonal content has always been the weakest part of the series and somehow becomes…
This game is fairly shallow in almost everything it does but I kind of love that. As someone who doesn’t really have the kind of time to really go all in on a systems-heavy game I don’t mind that the combat is fairly mindless or that the cult systems are all really only surface-level. I think all of that makes it a…
Yeah with the characters lore I kind of think the right call is to just not address her gender identity in a binary way in any official capacity.
After Deathgarden there’s absolutely no way I’d put money on anything Behavior Interactive does outside of DBD.
Thats a lot of words for
‘not the toxicity that inhales so much oxygen out of the room’
I don’t really see too much similar with Timesplitters to be honest. Unless you’re talking about an aspect of the narrative? Always skipped that in Time Splitters so I admit I have no idea!
XC 2 is kind of the best example of ‘more isn’t always better’. Too many systems, way too much time explaining them, too much terrible dialogue, too many bland characters, and way too much boob.
I just want a version that runs remotely decent.
I completely understand it not being for you but I’d assume that it’s doing just fine given the current wait is over a year long.
This isn’t meant to rival the Switch, it’s a small project and the team is working within their means and their intended audience seems perfectly happy with the results.
Team RAID Shadow Legends vs Team Coinbase
Oh I absolutely understand that most of the raid requires a lot of things I’m personally not interested in from Destiny as a whole. My problem isn’t with the core gameplay loop as I find a lot of the story missions to be interesting enough to take me from point A to point B. The issue I have is almost exclusively with…
you seem really cool.
I really wish Bungie would put even half the effort into the content outside of raids because I cannot keep fighting the same 3x sized enemies with the same attacks and patterns that get called a ‘boss’
Yeah this is kind of how I felt as well.
The guns all felt really loose and impactless, AI was completely braindead, there was never any kind of challenge, special enemies provided almost zero challenge or variety, the maps were incredibly bland... I could go on.
It looks amazing and the setting is exactly what this…
