Retron devices are in no way powered by an FPGA. In the past they’ve been known to just steal open source emulation software, throw them into a device with little concern about their stability, and then profit off of that.

The bigger problem with Shogo would be the amount of work you’d have to put into actually getting that game into decent shape.

Which makes sense in PoE, a completely free-to-play game with a steady stream of content accessible by anyone without needing to drop a dime.

I’d imagine it’s because the PS4 doesn’t really take advantage of a SSD at all. On occasion you’ll see some slight improvements over what you’d get from even just the stock HDD but it’s not worth spending the extra cash to get a drive that would function immeasurably better in a PC or laptop.

There were a lot of very samey environments that required you to shoot some specific vent in a corner or on the ground fairly regularly and it consistently brought my experience to a halt as I ran back and forth trying to figure out what I was supposed to be doing.
