I do love that the Gawker rallying cry basically boils down to “Hulk Hogan never would have been able to afford to hold us accountable for our bad actions if not for this guy and his money”. As if wronging people who can’t on their own afford to do something about it is somehow OK.

It's one of the stupidest things I've ever read on a Gawker site, and that is saying a lot.

It’s just one giant eye roll. These people are, to a person, deeply unfunny. They are not good at satire, sarcasm, or sardonicism (that word seems wrong but this isn’t my job so w/e).

But Uber is a technology company that just facilitates independent car owners to create new opportunities for themselves. Why burden Uber and Lyft with anti-business regulations when in fact these are independent contractors that should be protected from government persecution, and other BS and whatnot.
