I wouldn't consider it "talking behind her back". It's normal for friends to talk about a mutual friend about whom they are worried so they can try to figure out how to help them, it's not at all the same thing as gossiping.
I remember that joke the first time I heard it and assumed it was directly referencing Cosby's rape allegations. The allegations have been following him around for years and years before this most recent round.
"It's in no way a deal breaker for me." — But what IS a deal breaker is that you two don't feel comfortable talking openly about it. In my experience, if you can't talk about 'bedroom' i.e. sexy-time subjects, it often means that other aspects of the relationship cannot be talked about either. Open communication in a…
Karlie Kloss will mate with a gazelle for just this purpose.
This was his big hit.
Not sure I agree entirely - the level of misogynism just doesn't cut it for me as exploring his dark side and reads more like plain ole sexism in my eyes.
My adorable little mother put it best when I was 17 and soon hard and made her listen to my cool rap music - "it's a shame he's so vulgar because he's really quite clever"
Yes, he had the right to create art and put it out there. But look at the context. He is a massive pop culture figure idolised by young people. What he puts out there is going to be consumed by them, his target audience, and is going to form a part of their psyche experience. He didn't make any effort at all to…
Normally I agree with you and your comments are always provocative, but I don't think anyone, anywhere, not the music community nor anyplace else, is saying that Eminem is the best or even one of the best. There are some people who are great with flow and some people with brilliant lyrics but, critically (as in from…
I do agree with you. I think Eminem is performing a persona and the ultra-aggro ad hominem attacks are just part of the act. People are free not to listen to his music, just as they are free not to look at a Degas painting, while acknowledging the talent of the maker.
Eminem's response from Rap God:
Alec Baldwin could be one of the world's most beloved figures but somehow the combination of his great intelligence, enormous will and all the money to buy the best mental health professionals in the world isn't enough to overcome his anger issues and that really is a shame.
THANK YOU. I don't really have any strong feelings about Heigl either way, but the whole Emmy story gets so twisted up. She wasn't shouting "I hate my job!!!" from the rooftops.
there were actually writers who supported her. That season of Greys was really, really bad and she had a point. It was bitchy but she was 100% right.
Izzy had sex with the ghost of her boyfriend and gave a deer mouth to mouth. It was stupid. I agreed with her.
Yeah I don't think either of them comes out of this looking great, but Shonda Rhimes bringing up that she still hates her, after this much time, and when Rhimes is still on top of the world — not to mention using "Heigl" to mean asshole on set, when there was another asshole on that set who physically attacked a…
The actor submits their name for consideration. I'm pretty sure she was asked about it (rather than a public announcement, etc.) because people didn't see her on the nomination list the year after she won the Emmy, which is when she said the thing about the writing. I don't think it was so much a stunt than it was…
Wasn't the year Heigl withdrew her nomination the year her character was having ghost sex? Yeah, sorry Shonda, that was some crazy shitty plot development.
