And we actually collectively kicked Harper and his Barnaric Cultural Practices to the curb resoundingly. So while not perfect, we at least don’t beat around the bush about hate. That’s something to build on.

And his landmark “Charter of Rights and Freedoms” and multiculturalism and tolerance and opening immigration to non-European countries and bringing home Canada’s constitution from England. What an alt-right whacko Trudeau Senior was!

A Canadian Prime Minister once said when America gets a cold, Canada sneezes. Americans don’t seem to understand the influence that your mass media and rhetoric and political policies have on your close neighbours, and indeed around the world.

That’s the thing. I like old school musicals and still found La La Land to be lacklustre with ho him music and some seriously over the top acting from Emma Stone.

I adore Moulin Rouge and absolutely hated this film. They are nothing alike.

It’s pretty substandard as a musical, and for once I found Emma Stone to be unbearable on screen. And I say this as someone who was raised on a steady diet of the classic old time musicals that this film purports to celebrate.

He looks super skinny/miserable though. Pretty but miserable.

Abolish the monarchy and you get to pay for a crony of the latest PM to live in grandeur and be your head of state a la the commonwealth nations. So you lose the tourist/historical attraction, the tradition and stability, but keep the associated costs anyway.
