My reward for sitting through Jim Carrey’s recent interview on Norm Macdonald’s show was the moment Norm asked him if having too much money meant you also had too much time to come up with bat-shit crazy ideas.

How many Star Trek parody shows do we need? Im surprised theyre still going ahead with this.
Agreed. YouTube is not meant for little ones unsupervised. Im not criticizing parents who just want their kids amused while they make dinner, but plunking a kid down in front of YouTube is not the same as plunking them down in front of Treehouse. And YouTube shouldnt pretend it is.
There needs to be a Graham Norton show of just Emma Thompson, Hugh Grant, and John Cleese. And a Conan episode of just Norm Macdonald, Martin Short and Bruce Campbell.
Take 10 minutes and go listen to her on Kimmel telling a story about taking Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith on a Florida swamp tour. Youll get a good sense of her humour.
Q could obliterate someone with the blink of an eye so I dont think it was attempted murder.
No, just froze him. And they make a point of mentioning that sick bay unfroze him.
I can understand that. I recall numerous times friendly acquaintances who worked with Spacey joking about Spacey chasing all the young boys. And I thought they were making fun of a predilection for younger men. I mean, they made fun of a lot of the actors - I wouldn’t automatically assume it was more than that. Now,…
I read that as “Some over-zealous Disney executive jumped the gun after getting into an argument with an overly-defensive editor. Their bosses got together and figured it out, but Disney does not want to accept any blame for their own knee-jerk reaction.”
And the intro has a run-on sentence.
Its not about Disney being “mad”. Its about Disney controlling press access because they were “mad”.
The Pahvans interfering was my favourite part of the episode. Many times Ive thought that the series of Federation mediators weve seen and read travelling around brokering peace for races theyre not a part of was horseshit. And now we see it from the other side.
I feel the Klingon actors are really struggling past the make-up and the teeth and the pressure to get the language right. So it ends up being one warthog grunting slowly to another warthog instead of actual conversations. They need more time and practice.
I dont think there will be a fake-out twist, but I do think Michael will be punished by being turned into a human. Because that would be torture for him.
The detail of Chidi correcting “Oral” to “Moral” just kills me.
How so?
My problem with it is that its not enough of anything. Theres not enough sci to be sci-fi, not enough funny to be comedy, not enough stakes to be action. It just feels like TNG fan-fiction.
Mayim?
Mine are: Bruce Campbell, Meryl Streep, John Dillinger, Billy Wilder. The best dinner party ever.
