I pretty much blow my entertainment budget on shows but there’s nothing like the feeling of walking out of a venue after a great show.

I got to see Doyle recently when he showed up at a Tedeschi Trucks Band show.

At least he was briefly a homeowner.

I played the Sims once and made a character just like me to see what it would do. The little guy stopped bathing and ended up sobbing in a corner of it’s virtual home until it committed suicide. It wasn’t the most life affirming thing I’ve done.

I’ve been a fan of Wilco for years but had not delved far beyond the singles until recently. Man, had I been missing out! Sky Blue Sky is a wonderful, cozy album, and although its two biggest hits are well-deserving of their popularity, I’m also very partial to the title track:

Just a beautiful tune. When we had a bunch of Todd going the other night I commented that I wish he had done more singing/songwriter when he was a younger man, but I suppose producing was a strong calling for him. He did put out a lot of his own music but I guess I’m just greedy!
