Peter Case and the Plimsouls! “How Long Will It Take”
“Let’s Go,” by the late great Ronnie Montrose:
You are correct. “This is the worst platitude” is the worst platitude.
God DAMN IT.
When I was six years old, my two older sisters taught me how to ride by placing my feet on the pedals of one of their big-girl bikes (24" wheels - I couldn’t even reach the saddle), and pushing me down a hill in our back yard. I learned very quickly; no training wheels needed. Ended up doing a slow-speed wipeout on…
SCTV was funny as hell.
I was just starting to read DUAN tonight while watching an MST3K episode (Cry Wilderness), and there was a Michael McDonald reference! Hee!
This is immediately apparent to even the most casual, distracted listener.
It’s kinda like somebody from Deadspin stops by once a day to shake some fish food into the tank.
I remember reading an interview with Joni recalling this tour and band. One story she told was how at one point Jaco discovered how cool his bass sounded through her Roland Jazz Chorus guitar amp. So he basically stole it from her, and proceeded to shred the speakers in it, since it wasn’t designed for bass guitar. …
Jaco’s was such a tragic story. He just couldn’t keep it between the ditches, as they say.
Better call Saul before you blow up the moon!
Here’s a couple of songs from Harmony Row, an absolutely wonderful solo album by Jack Bruce, released in 1971 after Cream finished up. I love this record so much, I can’t even tell ya.
That girl looks like one of my older sister’s friends. By the time she was a teenager, she could fit the bottom of a Coke bottle in her mouth. 9-year-old me was duly impressed.
Yup, I like the live one too, and I think you’re right - this sounds different from mine, which I think was the B side of Cinnamon Girl? (too lazy to go spelunking through the closet, sorry)
Ha ha !! That sounds good, man. Be careful though - I once had a recliner tip over backwards and jam me upside-down between the chair and the wall. It was like a god damn Three Stooges episode, minus two.
Hard to pick just one track from this:
Indeed.
