Ohh, yeah.
Ohh, yeah.
Hee! A queef a day keeps the cat in the other room for awhile.
Time to get back to work on the car stereo, yay! One more Todd tune for the road: “The Last Ride.” There are a lot of good live versions of this out there (including that Daryl ep), but the original studio track still does it for me. That stereo guitar solo!
Cruel Intentions
Ain’t funny, yall! :oP
Before he got famous for the Miami Vice music, Jan Hammer was doing stuff like this:
Hee! I wonder if he drank that bleach before he made a crown out of it.
Love it luv! This is my favorite episode of Daryl’s House, and Something/Anything? is another album that gets regular springtime rotation around here.
Gotta work tonight, dammit! Here’s one from Bob’s little brother.
I used to run sound for my buddies’ band back when this was on the radio. Played the synth part on a Moog Sonic Six back at the board. They never censored any lyrics, so it was always fun to watch the chaperones’ eyebrows go up at the high school dances when they played this one. Thanks for the memories...
Thanks for your reply. My problem with the cover was that it seemed like a pretty juvenile exploitation of a tragic event. Morello and the band seem like intelligent, decent guys, and I don’t believe their sole intent was to shift maximum units. I just wish they’d zoomed out a bit more to see the bigger picture, as it…
Heh! I dunno though, making the gesture with the stump might be refreshingly effective. “Holy JEEsus! I’m sorry I offended you, now please, just put that thing away...”
I gotta say it - I don’t care how sincere their intentions, I can’t even listen to this band because of that album cover. Anyone else feel this way about it?
Yes! This is one of those covers that’s as good as the original, although I like that one a lot too - especially Chris Wood on sax. Like Wayne Shorter, he understood the space between the notes:
This is a really good point. I drive a lot for my job, and tend to OD on NPR. After a couple of hours of current events, I finally remember to turn the goddamn news off, and I can feel my blood pressure returning to normal. I really need to watch that.
Man, if I had a nickel...
For better or worse, I credit Ian Gillian and this guy, Murray Head (Giles’ big brother, hee!) with keeping me in church for an extra year or so before I finally gave up on it:
Hee! Keep on queefin.
Is that the guy from Men At Work? By god it is!
Hee! This kid literally never gets old.
