I comfort myself with the knowledge that while MRAs seem to come out in droves any time someone so much as mentions a woman on the internet, they have a pathetically tiny real-world existence. Pretty much no one shows up to their sad little protests, they hold no positions of power, and any reasonable human pretty

Please, please point us towards the feminists that want to free anyone accused of raping a man (a la Paul Elam), who say that children enjoy being molested (a la Warren Farrell), who say that men beg to be raped (a la Roissy), who applaud women who massacre men in gyms and universities (a la every MRA who has lionized

This really illustrates why chivalry often makes me feel uncomfortable. It really can be othering.

"Madame, by tipping my hat I was telling you several things. That I would not harm you in any way...I was telling you that even though I am a man and physically stronger than you, I will treat you with both respect and solicitude. "

Yeah, he looks like a snotty prep-school jock to me. I'm sure he's a good actor, but I don't find him particularly attractive.

"[M]en actually don't have a ton of control over it, at least at first. It's damn near involuntary...When you study biology from an evolutionary standpoint, you find that there are actually really good reasons for this behavior."

1) You're allowed to look. Staring is rude, no matter what someone's wearing.

Yep, it was a total violation of the law. I actually wrote a pissed-off letter to the company after I left but never sent it for some reason.

Retail is the worst. I worked for a supposedly woman-friendly company (hint: they sell women's athletic wear and have super perky catalogs) that didn't want to pay to rent the bathroom in our building, so we had to walk down the block to another store to use their toilet (where they hated us for doing so). That's exactly what I thought of when I read this article. I want to print out that chapter and hand it out to strangers on the street, it was that good.

Are you using condoms, or no protection at all? If it's the latter, you need to be direct with him immediately, and don't worry about being non-threatening (not that he should be threatened, no matter how you broach it).

Maybe this would help? http://nativeappropriations.blogspot.com/2010/04/but-why-cant-i-wear-hipster-headdress.html

If I had an abortion, I wouldn't want to discuss it with the AP either. Not because it would be traumatic or shameful, but because I wouldn't want some anti-abortion nutjobs finding me and making my life hell.

The already have: http://www.inshapeamerica.com/gym/cuts_for_men

The one about the women's only gym is a little funny, but not for the reasons they think it is. I mean, apparently the best example of sexism against men they can think of is not being allowed to join the Curves in their local strip mall? WHOA YOU ARE SO OPPRESSED BRO.

Yeah, real men want this unattainable ideal, not that other unattainable ideal! Yay!

Kenneth Moreno is this guy: http://www.nytimes.com/2011/05/27/nyregion/two-new-york-city-police-officers-acquitted-of-rape.html?_r=3&hp&

Innocent until proven guilty applies to the courts, not private citizens. I'm perfectly comfortable believing that, say, Kenneth Moreno is a rapist even though he was acquitted.
