Ironically, there ARE references to witchcraft in the mural that the parents didn’t notice--specifically, references to the show The Owl House, which is about a world of witches and is absolutely amazing. Eda would be proud of this mural and I hope the artist realizes that.

The hamsa i think is the hand with an eye in it on the very left and i think the “satanic” character is the horned Noh mask to it’s right and above.

Others were concerned that the mural was discriminatory towards Christian beliefs.

Her house is apparently 200 sqft bigger than mine. Now, I don’t live in LA, so mine isn’t worth anywhere near that much (but it looks like my backyard is much bigger). Otherwise, this story just seems like trolling.

That was my initial reaction, too. I know that 1.4 million very reasonably sounds like a whole lot of money to most folks in most places (me too!), but 1.4 million in LA is not exactly fancy pants house money by a long shot. That’s pretty standard middle class house pricing in LA (which is fucking absurd, to be clear).

...and? She’s got a 2600 sqft 3/3 in LA. Yeah, it costs 1.4 mil. She spent “thousands” on the backyard? Good for her, I guess? Unless there’s something that indicates the money came from somewhere it shouldn’t have, maybe don’t just jump in on some NY Post article that includes the word “Marxist” in the first sentence…
