Hey, give management SOME credit.

How condescending is that? And why would you want an apology you needed to ask for? It’s meaningless.

I’m guessing because she wants to see change happen at the company and be part of making it a better place for everyone to work.

Great gamers often do make for crappy boyfriends.

Might not fit the legal definition, but they are absolutely deceitful and predatory, and serve no purpose other than to take money from vulnerable people. There is no argument for their existence that isn’t ultimately some libertarian bullshit.

I legitimately don’t know what to say about this, the problem is these ‘games’ are nothing of the sort. They aren’t fun, they aren’t even gambling, they just straight up exist to take advantage of people with problems. I honestly struggle to see this as anything except fraud, and I’m saying that as someone who thinks

These games should be legally required to have a spending limit.

It’s a sad form of trolling. You’re making other people powerless to your tools and they can only rage about it.

No, because they aren’t feeling good about winning, they’re feeling good about making you lose.  It’s a twisted flip side of the coin

You are the ONLY person I’ve ever heard say that. Of course liking tv shows and movies is subjective and all, and not everyone will like everything... but like... I want to yell at you and tell your that you’re wrong so much.

Counterpoint: You’re wrong, and Amazon has increased the show’s production values dramatically since it moved over from SyFy.

I got a better idea Bezos. Seasons 7, 8 and 9 of the Expanse.

There is a minority opinion. I love the books don’t get me wrong. But for a TV show I think they have really done well with the Expanse. Amazing cast that was as diverse as the authors intended, with some killer acting.

For me there is so much quality content out there that I don’t even have time to watch it all. If Amazon wants to take a swing at Mass Effect I’ll add it to my watch later list. Of their adaptations I have seen, Invincible, The Boys and The Expanse (even though it didn’t start there) I have enjoyed them all. Good or

You’re a bit late, this take belongs a century ago when they started adapting books.

“All of this however could be achieved without blockchain.”

It is my and others’ opinion (and possibly Ian’s as well?) that that paragraph does not constitute “a nuanced discussion”. As others point out, he basically undercuts his own meandering attempt at a point.

Just add it the pile with Sheeple, NPC, Cucks, Beta-boys...

NFTs provide us some sort of way to have ownership in the digital world...

The utility (and value) of NFT’s will be created through social media platforms. For many digital representations is > physical representation and (if/when) Twitter/TikTok (discord backed away from it) roll out the ability to display flair on a social media profile that will be a turning point. We see how bananas
