“Fake news” is the new “amazing.” Those words (terms) now literally convey the opposite of their original meaning. If someone tells me their cheeseburger was “amazing” I know it was edible. “Fake news” means mostly correct statement by someone I don’t like.

Did you do this with your kids? It doesn’t work. You have to get them acclimated to restaurants early if you want to take them to nicer restaurants down the road.

Nah. I’m going to keep bringing my kid with me to all manner of restaurants at least twice a week, because I want to go to restaurants at least twice a week. He’s well behaved but he does drop stuff, I tip well and move on.

This is a critical issue for me in raising my daughters. I have to tread lightly because if I push anything too hard they will very easily pick up on, and run with, my wife’s disdain for the whole genre.
