With games that are also Xbox Play Anywhere, that’s “all three versions” that there’s only one unified Achievement set for. Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows 10|11.

They’re one list because they’re treated as the same game.

I’m pretty sure you just get one set of achievements because it is treated as the same game. So if you want to spin Sony’s convoluted method as a positive you do get two sets of achievements.

With the Xbox smart delivery system, what if I want to play the older version for achievements? Or is there only one list of achievements for both versions?

You copied text that included a link. Kinja was mutilated by people who have no idea what they’re doing a while back such that it moves any text in a link to the start of the paragraph and strips the link.

Also, how come my quoted text includes text I didn’t copy and it isn’t there when I go to edit the post? Why does Kinja suck so bad?

You simply have to download the PS4 version, hop into the main menu, upload your save data to the cloud, download the PS5 version, go into that main menu, and then re-download your save data. Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, the currently PS5-exclusive version of Final Fantasy VII Remake, requires a similar set

I keep waiting for Microsoft to add a ‘pay an extra three bucks a month, get access to all DLC’ tier to GamePass. I mean, I’d go for it, for sure.

On one hand, I completely agree this is an issue where Sony has been caught with their pants down and are being completely shown up by Microsoft. The fact that his keeps happening clearly indicates it’s a structural problem with Sony, and not just one or two developers cutting corners.

No offense, but I think this article, and some people out there are really reaching.

Unfortunately Utada didn’t say or post preferred pronouns, which is causing a minor meltdown on Twitter lol. But either way, I know how private they generally are - the prefix thing was also in reference to marital status and how AFAB people tend to get labeled that way in English - but I’m so glad that they were able

It’s not something the writers are in control of, unfortunately.

So... Sorry to hijack what seems like a pretty cool story about game dev, but,on mobile at least, it is basically unreadable due to the insane amount of ads between main content.

If it had been a toggle by default, from the start on the Wii onwards, I don’t think we’d be having this debate.

Because this game did eventually come out, seeing early footage of it isn’t as important as, say, seeing a pitch document for a game that never came out at all. But there is loads of interesting footage to be seen of the Vita’s earliest days, when it was basically just a huge black lump of prototype, with wires and

I’m so glad we seem to have gotten past the era of gimmicky motion and touch controls. I still don’t know how anyone thought it would be more enjoyable to use a control scheme that’s less precise by magnitudes.

You are like, the most reasonable Kotaku commenter and I am into it

Just because we weren’t going to buy something, doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be able to.

I wonder how many video games have been created in the world. Published ones that is, released for a price to stores digital or otherwise. At this stage it must absolutely dwarf the number of movies ever released. Don't necessarily have a point mind you, just it feels like we live with a glut of games, historic or
