I see them offing Ducati, and Bugatti. I don’t see them getting rid of Lamborghini. IIRC 2014 was Lamborghini's most profitable year ever. Not sure what 2015 profits look like though.

I would be more for this if they were aiming to improve quality and fit/finish of their products. I personally will never buy a GM product until they do so.

5th Gear: Should You Have To Register Your Tires?

exactly why Michigan at a minimum needs vehicle inspections. It was a daily occurrence when I was managing a wheel and tire store that we could not hoist or jack a car. Literally all the jack points or frame were rotted out. The one car that sticks out in my mind the most is the 1st and 2nd gen Taurus/sable.

Michigan..... MDOT decided years ago magnesium chloride mixed with the normal sodium chloride melted ice quicker and faster. Yet we have no vehicle inspections. Come look at any 2nd gen Taurus. Nearly all of them would fail in a state with inspections.

the key word is "UP TO"... There has yet to be actual data publicly given. The actual time of being 40x higher has not been given. This measurement could have only been 2-3 seconds 40x higher. It makes great headlines though.

The emissions test and fuel economy test are done on the same dyno under a controlled environment. Manufacturers will sometimes validate their dyno fuel economy vs the real world but the EPA only accepts the lab tested emissions and fuel economy.

The EPA mpg test is done with the rear wheels not spinning. So theoretically the “cheat mode” was activated when the EPA mpg test was performed. That’s why people love the fact they get better than EPA ratings consistently. The on road tune is not the same tune that the EPA cheat mode was on.

It should be noted .5% of total NOx emissions of cars and trucks only.

Absolutely. What other market has an unskilled production line worker making the same or more than management. That’s not how the rest of the rational business place works.

They will always come and rage about the unions and how we “need them for a fair working environment” bla bla bla

wow. shady as hell.

The pay has for sure dropped from what it used to be. The pay always crept up and I fear it will creep to the point of the early 2000’s. They have placed restrictions on how much overtime you can get since but its clearly creeping up because the line workers want the lifestyle of the 90’s and early 2000's the line

The UAW members only care about more money and getting back to the days of being paid $80+k a year with overtime for doing an unskilled line worker job. This though process is what started the slow death and process of bankruptcy or near bankruptcy for the big 3.

I will admit I am not directly related to the film industry so I did not see the actual changes or benefits. In my mind if I personally didn’t see any changes in my day to day life it didn’t make enough effect to make a difference. I have only educated myself from the news articles strongly opposing or strongly

This is one of the first few vehicles from the big 3 that I would want to buy. If this were to come here I would have a very hard time not to buy one. Its a perfect mix of a defender, FJ, and Wrangler.

Agreed. I wont even give the revamped TG a chance. I don’t find Evans interesting or funny. Then him doing it solo. No thanks.

im sorry but the film industry rebates and incentives were not beneficial to Michigan. Look at other examples from other states. It gave jobs to people out of state and cost the tax payers hundreds of millions. The film companies will constantly chase the biggest subsidies. There are much better things that the state

I blame lack of dealers and horrid salespeople selling them. Took me 4 dealers back in the day to let me drive an IX. Other people may have given up after 2. They wanted me to sign papers before letting me touch the car outside of the showroom.
