I totally agree with you. GM has nothing on the market or upcoming that makes me want to buy a GM car over other industry leading brands. Quality is still crap IMO. Interior quality and fit and finish has always been crap. It has improved drastically but only because other companies have left them in the dust.

I have yet to see a loss of resale value on diesel and gas VW's. If anything the diesel value will go up because the supply of new TDI's are not available.

I would put money on a massive portion of cars don’t pass because they aren’t following the EPA/Euro 6 test trace. If you vary slightly off that test trace then most cars fail. EPA actually does this to cars owned by the public. They also pay you for it. I have had 2 friends have this done. They had the car for a couple weeks. Not sure if the Ann Arbor EPA lab is the only one who does this. I would doubt it.

there was a ecu flash recall done in December of 2014. There are many cars on the tdi forums that has had this done.

where did I state I was going to flip them? I would drive them myself simply deleting the dpf and having a tune would be a workaround for the likelihood of a ecu update that could make them loose mpg to pass emissions requirements.

GM KILLED PEOPLE! and were fined 900 million. VW did a workaround to pass emissions. They were not killing people. Yet talk is up to 18billion in fines.
