Fantastic piece. There are definitely untapped ideas, stories, settings that can be adapted from these different cultures and it's something I would welcome in future games. Truth be told I haven't lived, I haven't explored this world, I know nothing outside the island called the UK so video games are a very good way

It's like No Man's Sky and Transistor's artists had an art baby.

Since you're concerned with the "backlash" your comments get, maybe we should go over your first comment line by line and figure out why people reacted so negatively. Here we go:

Holy shit, if you have played New Vegas that many hours you are the one person on the planet that has put more time into it than I have. I'm @~2,230. 1,800 of those hours were vanilla Xbox 360 playthroughs :p

That's a lot of hours (I bet you can't wait for 4). I take back what I said about you lacking the patience to stick to one game. I thought I had a lot of hours in Fallout 3 and New Vegas with close to 1000 between them. In my defence, I suffer from a condition that affects my arms, and makes gaming painful and

The problem is that you mistakenly assume that speedrunners are missing out on a "proper" gameplay experience, or that it takes less skill than a regular playthrough. I don't have the patience for speed runs because I prefer to experience as many games as possible. However, I understand that speedrunners are usually

With the exception of a few games, I personally don't do speedruns. It doesn't interest me. I did spend weeks trying to knock off fractions of a second for my Mirrors Edge time trials. Doubt I would do it again though. For the most part I'd much rather spend my gaming time in other ways, but I do see the appeal of it.

Likely he only puts speedruns on his channel, nothing wrong with that, but it's hardly a reflection of his total playing time.

Good choices! You are going to have a lot of fun with those. Don't forget to mod your Fallouts beyond and back - Although I would recommend a vanilla playthrough of your first run of NV, the better mods (especially Freeside and The Strip Restored especially) tend to give it indigestion depending on your machine. TF2 is serious business

This is mine now, I'm taking it.

I remember when Free Radical went down and became Crytek UK, and now it's all happening again... These guys can't catch a break.

The uniques were one area where I felt New Vegas really improved on 3—actually, hell, I prefer New Vegas to 3 generally, but I realise it's contentious. The Q-35, Lucky, Maria, the AER14 and so on all had unique models to go with the stats, so finding and using them was that much more satisfying.

We were automatically out of the cup before it even began. We're England =P

Gamescom maybe? I could see them doing that instead. Less noise. Lets what is a big title stand out from the Halo's and AC's.

Hanging out with Shadow of the Colossus.
