As soon as I get a capture device!
I've done some wild stuff online and it just happened - never planned. Now that I watched this video, I called my mechanic to deliver my Akuma.
I forget what it's called, but that style has been a hipster design/typography trend for the past couple years, like all the logos that mimic the Dutch East India Trading Company. It's also the exact wrong typography to use for a game like GTA. Honestly, however, it's likely the only custom lettering style that…
156 orange dots on the wall. 156 orange dots. Take one down, pass it around....
I see this font and expect sultans, Aladdin, genies, and flying carpets. Grand Theft Auto: Arabian Times
Agreed. My biggest complaint is that it's hard as hell to read. I'm still not convinced that's a "G;" it looks like some weird backwards D. My second biggest complaint is that it seems irrelevant.
Agreed. Like a million times over. Terrible.
That's the problem with this site. The slightest slip-up and you're fucked. Way to get ahead of it. Hyper for President!
Sweet baby Raptor-Jesus that font is terrible. Aside from the fact that the current font type has been so thoroughly associated with the GTA games, the replacement looks, well, terrible. It's overwrought with flourishes and looks like it would be more at home on a 50's refrigerator than on the cover of an open-world…
Looks like some shitty Travis Barker t-shirt.
The logo looks like a tattoo some 20 something year old girl would get on her lower back.
From a typographic/design standpoint it's pretty bad too.
It's really hard to read, which equates to terrible advertising.
You wouldn't glance it on a shelf and pick up the title right away, it is just a blur of white shape.
I do quite like certain aspect of the design, but too much of it is highly deformed and there are…
Seriously. It's not good. Worse, though, it has very little to do with the series. Yeah, the games have tattoo parlors, but if you're going to redo the logo, it should reflect the game, and this makes me think of something fussy, not something bold and brazen and by the seat of your pants, as the series is.
Agreed.

Yeah, an amateur logo by any professional designer, not a wannabe one, has easy recognizable letters. See logos like xmen, superman etc. and the letter G on this is a mess. Seems like a lowcase d with idendity issues.
indeed.
Right, it's not very readable. You want something easily readable and recognizable, memorable helps too.
