Yeah, until there is a time machine, you can't make the person un-sexually assaulted. Cash damages and contract voiding are the only options.

Her lawsuit is being taken on spec I believe. That was my understanding from her lawyer’s podcast.
How would you prefer a civil court deal with damages? They don't have the authority to do much beyond enforce exchanges of money. By the same logic, criminal penalties are even less likely to compensate/provide for victims unless your only worry is never seeing that person again.
If you got a thoughtful nuanced legal opinion, you couldn't generate clicks via outrage.
It's civil court, money damages are just about the only form of compensation.
Yeah, “she’s my date” implies we’re in a relationship a lot clearer (and they don’t need to clarify for other people) than “we’re each others Valentine.” The later statement conjures up the idea of a divorcee and her supportive friend.
This is why people never listen to self-described radicals (in most of the country). They are too busy throwing the baby out with the bath water.
So you mule drugs?
I'm okay with idiots self selecting their demise. It's no more or less safe for other racers.
If it isn't a mental disorder, what is it? Jezebel tells me gender is a construct except transgender folks who are born with an X brain in a Y body. Both can't be true. In most cases, their aren't any physiological differences (i.e. It isn't predicated on some hormonal imbalance or chromosome issue). That would lead…
Victim blamer!
It’s weird that gender dysphoria is the only mental illness treated with enabling the sick person’s delusions. It’s depressing because when these people get what they want (transformation) their suicide rate increases dramatically.
Touché, but I doubt these Brits do either.
Endless company labor surveillance? What does that mean in this context?
What's this concept? I've never heard of it, but I don't own a turbo.
The Landrover is way safer. It will spend 50% of the time in the shop and public transit has an immaculate safety record.
Uber does background checks.
The consumer is winning with Walmart. Regardless of them kicking out the competition, the prices are still lower than former competitors.
Those stories won't exist. There are almost no owner operators in New York. The fees are too high. The guy you see in the car is paying some specified rate to rent the car for X hours a day. In Columbus, OH, the cabbies told me they spent about a hundred per shift to rent the car and pay for gas for a 12 hour shift.
You have never ridden in an uber if you think there is arguing over fares. Also, most cities don’t geotag their cabs, so the record of your trip is their server vs a cab driver’s word.
