It’s become abundantly clear that American Catholics care primarily about allegiance to the RCC, not the Constitution, or their fellow citizens, or even basic morality. It’s a church of obedience, not morals - much like other top-down authority churches, like the LDS, Scientology.

The Democrats are so focused on hurting the Republican Party and the President that they are unable to get anything done because of it, including legislation on gun safety, lowering of prescription drug prices, infrastructure, etc. So bad for our Country!

They just need to make it vote by mail everywhere. That way people don’t have to take time off of work, single parents or those with disabilities, or even the elderly don’t have to worry about standing in line all day for something they can easily do at home.

This cannot be said enough.

I’m not confident enough to be either firmly optimistic or pessimistic about that voting bloc right now. Though, comparing as many maps of the territory as possible, I lean toward thinking a meaningful portion could be gettable.

If Trump was really as rich as he claims to be, he would have sent a copy of his tax returns to every American and made sure they were published on the front page of the NYT.

These dudes aren’t interested in cultivating their personalities, humour or anything else. And they don’t care about those attributes in women.

The most disappointing thing to me is that we’ve been heading in this direction since at least 2008, and probably as far back as 1996, but we’re just too dumb, immature, lazy, apathetic or whatever to do anything about it.
