How about “Nursing Home Improvement” where we can all have a laugh over the terrible state of elder care in this country.  The fact that the three kids aren’t acting anymore also works - nobody ever comes to visit.

With Earl Hindman dead, maybe Wilson died too but Tim never notices, talking to a hat on a skull for years.

I don't think so, Tim.

Growing up our local UHF channel 43 showed Godzilla and other monster movies every Saturday afternoon after two hours of Three Stooges. Thanks (and RIP) Super Host! So this all seems perfectly natural for TV to me.

He’s showing the same kind of respect that Preston Brooks showed to Charles Sumner.

His physical comedy in “The Whole Nine Yards” was so good.

Does nobody remember Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow and its use of long-dead Laurence Olivier as the villain?

To me, it seems like nothing’s really changed. It’s just that they used to think that the “Everything is connected!!!” marketing gimmick would bring people in. But now, after years of a growing backlog of variably entertaining shows and movies, that same slogan keeps people away instead of drawing them in.

“Who would have guessed you could miss a hand so much?” while staring at the hand chair a solid two episodes before the loose seal incident blew  my mind on rewatch.  It’s a show that’s somehow as funny on a rewatch just catching all the things you missed the first time through.

Look at the setup work they did for Annyong, holy crap.
