But I think her defense of people, “they were nice to me before,” isn’t quite the strongest defense of a person’s character.
So here’s the thing... I’m not a court of law. I am under no requirement to consider anyone as innocent until proven guilty. The only guideline I need to follow is “good enough to me.” Give me some investigative and subpoena power and I might reconsider.
None of these people have been cancelled because cancel culture is a myth.
In my experience in entertainment and business, it means very little that someone’s nice to their peers (fellow performers, c-suite members, etc etc). It’s one thing when the people on the show poster have nice things to say about you; what “the help” has to say is a whole ‘nother.
Shout out to Regine Johnson mentioned in the article. Stark is our home county and we never, ever have lines to vote here like we see in other areas of Ohio/US.
Sorry, but it’s actually ‘Raphael is cool but rude (give me a break!)‘
Leonardo leads, Donatello does machines
Raphael is cool but crude
Michelangelo is a party dude
Anyone else notice the boat’s name is the Harriott II?
“He was getting aggressive.”
let’s get these out of the way:
“Try that in a small town”
“They should have just complied”
What else?
Reads the grays.
It is so, so good. As a lifelong TMNT who saw Secret of the Ooze in the theatre, I was pleasantly surprised throughout. It’s such a fresh take and the changes like Splinter’s origin and separating out Superfly from Baxter Stockman were really well handled and all felt like they were in service to telling a great story.
And in the long tradition of Terminator sequels managed to blow the big twist in the trailer
Wow, it’s almost like if you don’t obsess on opening weekend grosses or short theatrical windows, movies eventually find an audience.
This movie is so charming and disarming throughout. I love how the introduction of Superfly is kind of this homage to the Joker introduction in The Dark Knight — as well as an homage to Heat, which is what Nolan is always using as his heist template.
I hope this is successful and we get sequels. I can’t wait for Slotherhouse 5!
So anyone think that Utrom might become Krang? She has the same visors as the Mech she drives in the cartoon. Also in the end credit scene, you can see blueprint designs for Mousetraps.
I assumed that if there was a teaser in this movie it would be for Shredder. Although I was hoping that it would be revealed that Cynthia was actually Krang. But overall it was a good movie, not better than the original live action, but definitely better than all of the sequels and reboots. I fear that they made too…
If I were a studio exec (but one who willingly paid the creatives properly), I would greenlight the FUCK out of this.
