All the way down

I’m not sure how accurate this is, but in the casting announcement article on Comicbook, they include the following:

Agreed. I never trust those early, overly gushing reviews. I found it interesting that some of the reviewers got a chance to watch 4 episodes. One of those 4-episode reviews I saw on another site was more even-toned in their review, saying that it was slow to start and hoped it would get better.

I’m a big fan of Old Gods of Appalachia so this one’s right up my alley!

Yep. I had to laugh because any of my kids would have done the exact same thing.

C’mon Wan, where’s my Monster Squad TV series? While we’re at it, I think Dark Shadows could make a good case for a(nother) TV reboot.

Keep ‘em coming!

I’m a simple man. I see a Ben Stiller Show reference, I give a star.

I don’t know much about this Hemsworth’s acting abilities but as long as the story for the new season is entertaining, I don’t see what the big deal is about the recasting. Kids these days are spoiled (how do you do, fellow kids)! They should just take the old soap opera approach in the new episode: The part of Geralt

From the article over on Bloody Disgusting:

the kid of someone famous with a reputation to live up to and nobody understands how hard it is to be them (usually the main character),

I was mainly thinking about Detmer and Owosekun since both have been bridge crew staples since the beginning and are now suddenly absent these last few episodes, but there are plenty of other crew members who I think are interesting and could be fleshed out quite a bit more if given the opportunity.

Glad it’s not just me that thinks it’s odd that two of the most familiar faces on bridge throughout the series have gone MIA at the end. Hopefully for the actors, it means they found better opportunities to shine elsewhere.

Thanks! I forgot about Bryce transferring out. I was definitely thinking mostly about Owosekun and Detmer, both of whom did great with what they were given, I’d just like to see them get a lot more.

I’ve said it before, if most of the Disco supporting cast* were to get O’Brien’ed into prominent roles in SFA I’d be happy to watch. I’m only meh on what we’ve seen of the 32nd century so far, but there’s plenty of potential there if they can find some good writers.

I’ll take Geralt of Rivera over his evil cousin Geraldo of Rivera any day

I’m no horror expert by any means, but I’d say I follow/consume that content more than most other genres, so the fact that I only found out about the King anthology today means your comment is not at all surprising.

At first glance, I thought this was a Stephen King anthology based on Nightmares and Dreamscapes. Turns out there already was an anthology based on said book back in 2006 🤷

I suppose there’s a chance this could become the Rogue One of the LOTR cinematic universe. I’d say it’s a pretty slim chance, but if Serkis remains attached to the project it might be interesting.

It’s interesting that both anthologies have had one stronger story and one meh. I thought Dooku’s story being the more interesting of the two in TotJ. But we had already seen so much of both him and Ahsoka that it was okay to just get little fillers. This anthology focused on characters that we didn’t get much screen
