The songs are fantastic but part of the fun of the ED musical is the “splatter zone”. Maybe some movie theaters could embrace the experience by offering a similar package where people get sprayed with stage blood if they sit in certain rows.

Yeah, I would have preferred they kept that a mystery. I have a feeling they’re setting up the Breen to be the “big bad” in the Star Fleet Academy spin-off so for better or worse they’re starting to lay out out some breadcrumbs and trying to flesh out the “mysterious menacing species” with some more nuanced personality…

I’m not sure if ratings had anything to do with the initial move from CBS to Paramount+, but I don’t think we would have gotten four seasons if it had stayed on network TV. As much as I’m disappointed by the cancellation, I’m glad I got to enjoy it for this long, and I’m very glad the creators got to write an ending…

My kids watched the movie for the first time last year and loved it. On the DVD, they put a few episodes of the cartoon under special features and the kids ended up loving that even more, so I bought the whole series from Shout Factory and now it’s on regular rotation in the Borg household. It’s been fun rewatching it…

If those four characters hopped into an escape pod at the end and flew thew a wormhole to appear on Strange New Worlds or another competently written show with different writers

Nothing here is even remotely as weird as that Dune popcorn bucket. IMO, the ghost trap one looks pretty cool even if I wouldn’t spring for it.

I kinda like the hoodie, but the person they picked to wear this stuff looks like they’re around my age. If they were trying to show me how ridiculous I would look wearing this stuff, then mission accomplished.

Lydia’s “style” could be a red herring since they’re in funeral garb. But even if it’s not, most kids that were goth and emo in high school didn’t have direct contact with spirits and confirmation of an afterlife though. That’s gotta have some impact on a person’s development.

I believe Old Republic is currently Legacy content, but there may be bits and pieces that have been shoehorned into the current canon.

The Old Republic is the one 1000+ years prior. The High Republic era is the few hundred years prior to TPM and this series allegedly takes place near the end of that timeframe, as opposed to the recent novels/comics which I believe take place earlier in the HR era.
