What does this sound like WOT down a main straight, then banging down through a few gears for a corner? Do we have that?

Get yourself a 9,000$ 911 instead and laugh all the way through the snow.

I need a Miata to do a comparo with my 996. Anyone got one?

One of my favorite roads both in a car and on a bicycle. I love the transition down to the lake.

NCCAR rat with a black C7 and silver beater 911. I'll honk.

Diplomatic immunity sets the standard for how everyone drives.

Unfortunately, a recent Allstate study doesn't seem to agree with me. This study, which looked at the average number of years drivers go between accidents, recently rated the worst U.S. cities for driving – and the leaders were Boston, Washington, D.C., Providence, Baltimore, and Philadelphia.

Modern Mercedes are quite unlike the 240/300D. They have a well deserved reputation for imploding and taking your cash with it. But hot damn this thing would be fun to take to a track.

Special Editions of the 2016 Toyota Corolla and its big brother the Camry have just dropped at the Chicago Auto Show. They come in bright colors with matched interior accents, and a subtle "SPORT" button on the dash to unlock "more aggressive driving dynamics." So, youths, are you in?!

What burned you hardest?

Ty Ty.

You want a 996 for 8K.

I'm pretty sure the US Army could put this to good use if the Air Force doesn't want it. The Apache is great and all but this has more on target time with more ordinance and can get from place to place faster. It might even be better armored than the Apache. Frankly I think as a corps level asset the Army would

That just might have to happen. Cats will be involved. The only Miata I had access to got stolen years ago (1st gen Miatas are very easy to steal), so I have no Miata for comparison. Anyone in NC care to donate a Miata for a comparo? Otherwise it'll be my 996's natural competitor, the Honda Civic Si.

My C7 Z51 vette is so much better than my 996 it's just not fair. The gap between a Miata and 996 is smaller than the gap between 996 and C7. And somehow my C7 gets 3 MPG better doing the same commute.

This is JUN's Subaru BRZ with a 2.4 liter Synergy V8. That's two 1,200cc Kawasaki Ninja engines duct-taped together by some guys in New Zealand for 356 horsepower at 10,300rpm and 200 lb-ft of torque at 8,000rpm. Redline is 11,600.

60K for a daily driveable new Z51 negates this a track day value proposition.
