you do not make sense, I said manuals were the Mini way. Manual = yes.

I drove a Cooper S. First, they didnt have a manual to test drive. Second, it drove like a Golf. Boring. Third, it felt like it had the same interior room as my old R53, but was huge on the outside.
If there was one company that would champion manuals in mainstream cars, it would be Mini. Uptake rate is highest among any manufacturer outside of Porsche.
The 2020 Mini is huge, and devoid of the rabid eagerness that was a hallmark of the R53. Plus, I think it looks stupid on its “I just did drugs” bulging eye and curvy face.
Nothing. Mini has lost it completely since they strayed away from the formula that made the R53 JCW great. They are now dead to me now that they are dropping manuals.
I agree with this list. Fuck the Sentra, the EcoSport, and the LX570. I sure hope the automotive landscape changes in 2020, because its current direction is completely depressing and pathetic if the Ecosport is a sign of the future.
No, as hardcore as a Lotus is, it is a Maybach compared to the stripped out Alfa. That is a compliment to the Lotus, as although it is a super lightweight track machine (Exige), and a good grand tourer (Evora), it still feels more refined than the Alfa. At least that is my experience ) Alfa 4C and Lotus Evora).
Lotus will always hold its value, no matter what. But the Alfa has more fizz.
It is an amazing driving machine, I have driven one. Problem is, the people who can afford such a thing, despite all the posturing and hot air they blow, want something soft and comfy and more sedate...like a Lotus or a Porsche. Because they are old, and “sophisticated” etc. So the hardcore Alfa only goes to the most…
I understand where the accolades come from, but it is an SUV/CUV...NOT a car. A car would be a Legacy, a Impreza, or on the outside an Outback. The Forester is not a car.
Looks like a jacked up Mazda3. Wait, it essentially is, and therefore is worse in every way except as a baby stroller or for old farts with bad backs.
Yeah, they were. But the BTCC, WTCC, ITCC, and hillclimb winning cars were FWD. Get on YT and watch “BTCC Donnington 1994" to see how fantastic the FWD Alfas performed on the track.
Guess not much. That kind of thing is what Hagerty does with their classic car insurance. It is their jam, not a problem at all.
Have you driven one? The FWD platform underpinning the 916 and the 155/156 was great. One of the best FWD platforms I have ever driven, rivaling the R53 Mini and the Acrua Integra. They could not have been that bad, they were winning touring car races left and right with these FWD cars.
...or call Hagerty, they say what a nice car it is, and give you classic car insurance. Fantastic insurance company, they have taken very good car of me and my ‘97 Alfa.
Or you can import a LHD one from Japan. They are crazy about LHD Euro cars, and they are all in excellent condition, that is where I got my ‘97 Alfa 155 V6.
It is a Spider, not a 164. 916 generation, along with the GTV. Best to get the Busso V6 in red and LHD with the Cup bodykit. Mint.
Right colour, wrong hand drive and wrong engine. Needs a LHD Busso. Anything less, no thanks.
I have been in one dct Maser. Never again.
You obviously don’t own an Alfa. They do enjoy to be driven, and neglecting them means they will break, but they are no Corolla. One of this vintage is not a daily. Summer car, sure, but no daily - should never see winter.
