Please mods....STOP GREYING ME OUT.
yep, looks like a 911
yep, winters are best for winter
have you ever owned one? I have driven many, and own one that is almost 22 years old. Never have I once had a problem with any of the Alfas I have driven.
Who cares about reliability? “The best thing about our car, the best feature...is it is reliable.” For a car enthusiast like myself, it is like saying “the best feature about my new girlfriend is that she is punctual.” Yippee. Life is too short to be constantly being safe and worrying about CR reliability scores.…
for once, Quebec got something right
Well there you go then. No point for car shows anymore. Just roll the car announcements and stands into CES. Done.
very few people actually care about cars anymore, and it is sad. They care about the car insofar as how cheap it is, its percieved safety, and all the tech goodies it has on the inside. Just look at all the ads. Alfa Romeo is the only company I see that actually advertises (other than trucks) on the performance of…
yep, that certainly is a factor. In Ottawa here, winters seem to be a must. Dumpings of snow, lots of ice-covered side streets, snowbanks to traverse from plows...you know what it is like. Winters are needed. I would not get to and from my job if I had all seasons. I have tried, and failed.
I can’t really afford them. So I bought some used rims years ago, and buy used tires (usually 1 season old, sometimes less) for less than 1/2 the price of new. I store the tires in my basement, and when I had my apartment I stored them in the closet. Here in Ottawa, winter tires are a must. I need to get to work (work…
I agree, but only insofar as his car sees so little miles. I drive a lot in Ottawa, and winters are a must for safety and grip. Driving on unplowed streets at 2am after a snowfall? All seasons are not even going to get you 10 feet.
You live in Toronto and say all seasons are enough? No wonder there are so many bad accidents on the DVP and Gardiner. It is all the “all seasons are fine...” drivers sliding everywhere.
exactly - people complain about the price, and don’t bother to even shop smartly for their tires. Used rims, one-season old tires...you are saving hundreds.
Some have no choice. Health care workers need to get to work, no matter what. The patients can’t stay home, and the night shift needs relief.
I do agree, in NY you can always use public transit. Here in the deep suburbs of Ottawa, we do not have that luxury. Winters are a must if you want to get anywhere safely.
dont need studs, but good winters are a great idea. They are designed for winter driving.
As an Ontarian, I agree. Quebec is terrible for road conditions and winter tires are a must. Night and day on our roads across the river too.
