As with all safety-oriented items on a car, you are OK until you are not. Those all seasons will be mediocre at best on ice, stopping distances will be long and emergency maneuvers non-existent. In a heavy snowfall, they will barely work. Winters are best, and worth every penny. If you must penny-pinch, buy used on

Why am I greyed out? Mods, please answer this it is really annoying. I want to take part in the discussion.

You should be not happy, you bought the wrong tires. Winter tires are the best for bad winters, and this year is going to be really bad by the looks of it. Your all seasons, good as they are, will be inferior on all regards to winters when the snow comes down, or when ice comes after a thaw.

this. This all day. Because sports car.

but Subaru will never do that, because they are stubborn and trying to penny pinch on their way to more market share. Make all the excuses you want, that car needs a turbo.

lol you got a 911 because of the back seat? What back seat? Do your kids not have legs, or do they love staring at the back of the seat in front of them?

As always since its inception, the 718 is a fantastic drive let down by the sounds it makes. The sound it makes is EVERYTHING because it is a sports car. It is not a hypercar or track-devoted monster, so tenths dont really matter. It is not a grocery getter so bland utilitarianism is no excuse either.

Dream road trip already taken: From Rome to Capri along the Amalfi Coast in a hot Abarth 500.

OK, not going to argue further. I hope you stay safe out there in your all seasons.

If the thrower is found, he should be drawn and quartered by the local GT-R club.

Oh I do not care. Do whatever you want, but in winter driving ( I am talking about north of the 49th) you should be on winters. The snowstorm that is going on RIGHT NOW outside my window is testament to that. Neighbour, on all seasons, had to call in sick. Couldn’t even get out of the driveway. My car with winters? No

no, it doesnt. starting, stopping require tire grip. That is why, no matter how slow you go, summer tires have no traction in the winter. Try starting on an icy and snowy incline in all seasons, and then in winters. One car is moving, the other, not.

Well I am in Ottawa, Canada. And from November to April snow tires are practically a must. Snow, on top of ice, on top of compacted snow...and then slush wherever there is any salt on the streets. All seasons fail here and are dangerous. Winters are just better. Yes, you CAN get away with all seasons, but you will

...and therein lies the problem. They should have snows.

“gosh...you guys really don’t know what winter is do you?

They were not kidding? Really? Well, unless it is monster-truck rallycross, then I am kidding when I say “I would love to watch that.”

In Ontario here I see that quite a few have dedicated winter tires, because here winter driving sucks and you need them. Florida, obviously don’t need winter tires, but here in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada...you do. No question.

Been driving in Ottawa, Canada for 15+ years. All seasons are NOT just fine. Even with AWD, all seasons would not get up a gentle hill with snow and ice without major slippage, which is loss of control, which is dangerous. Winter tires are needed for winter, which looks like this:

INb4 it is a “gran coupe” CUV. A jacked up 4 door “coupe” meant to capture the obsession with CUVs these days. No point in making anything else.

I don’t. Because they will need that warranty when things start falling apart. It is when, not if.
