That argument makes no sense. Nobody takes time off work to clean an air filter, which also only needs cleaning every 20k or so. I do mine in the spring during a car wash on a Sunday. The oil and cleaner last literally the lifetime of the car. You don’t need much of either per cleaning.

in terms of bystander danger, it is a lot less than a crowded urban area. That is what I was getting at.

With dedicated summer and winter tires, both sets last around 4-5 years give or take for my heavy driving. Not bad longevity considering the extremes in weather we get here in Ottawa, Canada (+40 to -45 Celsius) and the amount of driving I do. Well worth it to have the best tire for the situation on the car at any

it is worth it because all you have to do is wash it and re-oil. Have had K&N panel and cone filters on both my cars for nearly 10 years, and they are just as good as the day I bought them. Although, depending on the stock setup, all some filters do is make the intake noise of the engine louder - I still say they are

I have driven over a dozen Alfas that have been built since the mid 80s. None caught on fire while I drove them, or broke down. I own one that is 21 years old with 65k miles, never missed a beat. It sees redline all summer. I have driven a 4cyl Giulia many times, and a QV twice. Again, never broke down.

lol I was expecting a lot, lot worse. That chase was mostly on rural roads with clear lines of sight. I see very little danger compared to inner city chases (almost no pedestrians for example) except the cop should have two hands on the wheel ffs.

For both the Ti and the QV I found it much more engaging a drive than the 3 Series and the Mercs. It was a really comfy car to sit in, and had lots of trunk room. Its exhaust note and throttle tip in were much better than the others. It also had a lot of features for the price. Would have a QV in my driveway right now

I like your optimism and admire your commitment to “the drive” despite the peanut gallery telling you “it will kill you, be in the shop all the time, etc.” I own an Alfa Romeo myself, and it has never gone wrong for over 65k miles.

why am I greyed out? Did I say something wrong...?

yeah you could easily put a Giulia, Ghibli, 3 Series, C Class...etc. and all their backsides look roughly the same.

once you drive the Alfa you will not want to drive anything else, trust me....now to own, that is up to you as it gets a little more complicated

...but you cant have the sporty transmission with the sporty car. Stupid.

agreed the 3.3TT V6 with the manual is the one to have....wait...

It really is a great first entry into the segment for Genesis. And we should be happy they gave us enthusiasts a manual at all...but they made a huge mistake in not letting the 3.3T with the Brembos and LSD, AWD have a manual. They would have a slam dunk perhaps front-runner in the segment with that - especially in

I have no idea. Someone at Jalop didn’t like my criticisms concerning their, frankly, lazy articles on Alfa Romeo I suspect...

this - I have two FWD cars with similar power, and LSD is a must.

LOL I called it years ago with the giant grills. Soon it will be two headlights perched atop a grill that covers the entire front of the car, and even encroaches on the front fenders.

There are much, much better choices...but I appreciate you were trying to do some sensible but left-field suggestions.

...but it is one of the ugliest vehicles ever made, is horribly unreliable (even more so than the X) and did I mention it was ugly?

I don’t know either. Perhaps it was a couple of posts I made criticizing the Jalop editors (mainly about 90s Alfa Romeo), and this is my punishment?
