lol who the hell goes to a meet in an R8 that isnt just for supercars, and also de-badges it? None of the R8 owners I have met have de-badged their cars. That is something 16 year olds do to their 320i to pretend it is an M3.

Nope, interesting but nope. Nobody with a cello worth thousands would strap it to the top of a car in the elements. Do you even recital bro?
it is, but a fullsize wagon is better. V70 could work too. Huge room in back for instruments and kids.
that is a great idea. I5 boosted to hell and back and making Group B sounds would be epic.
You can get a used set of winters for a hell of a lot less, and they will be good for a few seasons. Store them in bags in the basement/laundry room if you can’t pony up for storage fees. That is what I do.
good, but the first gen with the manual is still the best one. Best looks, best transmission.
as an Ottawa resident all my life, I keep asking myself this every winter...but seeing the all-season shod CUVs up here all over the place, and overconfident drivers...I can see why
the cash is a wash as you war each set of tires half the time - double lifespan. Also as for storage many tire shops or dealerships have cheap tire storage options.

ever had all seasons in a snowfall with slushy roads and black ice? They are not going anywhere, let alone from point A to B.
As someone who is a veteran Canadian winter driver, that statement is ridiculous. Borderline dangerous. You cannot have enough control or grip in snow, ice, slushy cold conditions. Winter tires are designed for that, all seasons are not. I have gone up onramps in my winters in my FWD Saab just fine where AWD CRVs with…
a manual Swedish wagon with a roof rack and turbo whistle? I call that cool.
EXACTLY. Winter tires save lives. All seasons do not even come close to cutting it. If you live where snow falls, or it gets below zero for much of the winter, winter tires are a MUST. This coming from a veteran Canadian driver.
certainly could be, otherwise it seems they suggest them JUST to be edgy and hipster. I get it, it sparks discussion of oft-neglected vehicles, but seriously a RHD Kei-van for a family in the US with musical instruments? That would be hell.
a cello? Those are huge in their cases too. Need a fullsize wagon like a 9-5 or Audi A6 for a cello to fit with the kids in the back.
The tiny vans are horrible choices for US freeways and are unsafe. RHD is a nightmare, especially when hauling a family and big instruments that block your already terrible LOS. Also, the firetruck cant carry the instruments inside. The very expensive and delicate instruments would be exposed to the elements, which is…
It does have a little more quirk being a true Saab, I will give you that. But in terms of rewarding...I give it a draw since my 9-3 2.0T after a tune is a riot to drive and practical/safe as hell. Also, GM era cars are cheaper to fix and much more reliable. Though the 900 Turbo is badass, I give you that.

Strangest car on campus? Why not a hearse? I am sure you could find a JDM model. Also, tons of room for the instruments.
