Now that I've done this, my zsh SSH and SCP autocompletion takes *forever* to search for a host to autocomplete. Anybody have any suggestions on how to speed it up?

I think a lot of people forget it's not the being late part that's disrespectful, it's the being late and not informing anybody. If I'm going to lunch with a friend, and, say, a train holds me up for 10 minutes, I'll certainly just call them and say "Hey man, I just got stuck at a train and I'm running 10 minutes

Toothpaste will keep it fog free for about a week, and it forces the water to sheet off vs. bead up.

LaTeX > Microsoft Office, that is unless of course you want to do a page layout. Then it's InDesign all the way. ;)

Blew my mind when I learned Illustrator could do charts and graphs...

@CamJN: Yes, yes, a thousand times yes.

@MkFly: Agreed. I do that too.

@Scott: I don't care what you think about my choice of shoe, and will continue wearing mine devoutly as they are supremely comfortable.

@KyleUndefined: This...is a very interesting idea. If there were enough interest (and, judging by the comments, it seems there is) it seems we could a more dedicated instruction system for this sort of thing. I wouldn't mind sharing some Python, C++, or Fortran knowhow :)

@kenny.vanderwildt: I'm not familiar with Javascript, but when that happens, the number that isn't passed around is usually global, meaning anything can access it (and change it!) at any time. Lots of programmers think of them as dangerous because of that, so they tend to not get used much.

@aamartin: Macs by default have pbcopy and pbpaste, but you can install them quickly in linux, too.

@SophT: Go figure. Why does that work?

Put it in a box, lock said box, destroy key, buy lock pick set.

@huh989: I tried learning Dvorak, and it's sweet. It's just a jerk for programming :(

All the water I have easy access to tastes awful. Anybody have any good suggestions for getting great tasting water at home/work?

@Ekstor: Oh, no specific flaw. Just one of the netheads at work kind of mumbled "we don't usually let professors buy printers that don't do postscript" while examining our Brother.

@shkm: I've heard that Brothers have issues with PostScript or something like that. Can you attest?
