A day may come when people in comments sections stop posturing about about framerate over graphics in order to make people think they’re intellectually-superior to the “graphics pretty!” riff-raff because they know about the technical minutia of games. But it is not this day.

At some point, preferably before I die of old age, I would like games to offer a “Hybrid” mode for graphics settings which will dynamically transition between high fidelity/low FPS and low fidelity/high FPS depending on whats happening

PC gamers will probably buy it first on console to not miss out, then again on PC.

You could just have used the gog version for steam deck, no need to buy the steam version.

Good Old Games.   It’s kinda like steam.. I guess? But you can get a lot of old games where you buy it and you get the install files as if you held the cd-rom to the game in your hand.

The most expensive, non-collector’s edition video game I’ve ever purchased was Shadows of the Empire for the N64 in December of 1996. That set me back $72.99.
