Since Trump wants to gut the filibuster rules (from 60 votes, to a simple majority of 51 votes in the Senate,) let’s also reduce the 2/3 vote required for impeachment to just 51%.

Auntie M :: And please, we really need(require)(must have) more of these!
Your most-excellent tweets.
Jesus Christ. My ex missed the birth of our daughter because he was stuck in an airport in Ireland, en route from Afghanistan. That is a perfectly honorable and respectful reason to miss the birth of your child. Being absent due to service to the objectively worse US president, in terms of competency and pretty much…
The only acceptable expression for them to be wearing at this moment
“...and you see these thugs being thrown into the back of a paddy wagon...”
IMO ANY former POTUS in recent memory would have no problem mercilessly beating the snot out of that fat wad of goo.
Note to the White House.
This. A million times, this. We keep doing this whole “it’s about 92% what I want, but that missing 8% is really bugging me. Fuck it, burn it to the ground.” It’s the same fucking reason people wouldn’t vote for Hillary, and now we have a potato chip in the White House.
Schumer held together a caucus that ranges from Sanders to Manchin (a guy who literally shot the original ACA in an ad). But of course we need to find the negative in everything because we wouldn’t be Democrats if we weren’t always looking for something to complain about.
Thank you. The “Democrat Purity Test” is doing literally nothing to help our current situation and will only hurt us in 2018.
So you just want Democrats to do what exactly? Just sit back like Republicans did and take their ball and go home and refuse to do anything? Not govern? Not offer any solutions? It working out really well for the Republicans so far.
It is annoying, but....totally worth this awesome and amazing video edit.
FINISH HIM!!
McCain is a lot of things, but stupid about how to get media attention ain’t one of them. Still, it was worth it to see McConnell standing five feet away from him, trying not to burst into flames.
Killer update on Murkowski being threatened by Zinke, though: he forgot she was his boss, didn’t think things through, and she’s now blocking his appointment hearings and appropriations. Oopsie! Checkmate.
I’ve never commented before on Kinja, but I wanted to make a point that had the procedural motion to move forward on debate failed, McConnell and co. could’ve gone back to the drawing board and come back with a bill and tried to pass it as a budget reconciliation bill with only 51 votes. However, budget reconciliation…
Collins and Murkowski have stood by their principles and been open and vociferous throughout. Real heroines.
I give those women a lot of credit, because I can’t say I wouldn’t have been intimidated by all the threats they’ve been getting. I appreciate that, despite not agreeing with them on many policies, they seem to be looking out for their constituents and not just their careers.
Yeah, I was debating whether it would be too obvious to even post the quote.
Literally a Margaret Atwood quote come to life.
