D’Angelo is great in the scene and it’s mad entertaining because of that, but I always thought it was pointless both in the book and (if it had stayed) in the movie. I saw High Fidelity in the theater when it came out because I had enjoyed the book, and I remember specifically mentioning that I couldn’t believe that scene wasn’t in there and that maybe it’d be a deleted scene in the dvd release. Flipping through that dude’s box of records and seeing all those gems, it was great.
