They’re good in that they’re fast and fun, but not great in that they really can’t offer enough to stick in your mind the second you stop watching.

Ryan Gosling does not sing the theme song, and the altered lyrics are horrible.
And why is canon even important?
If this doesn’t have something as crazy as the Joker joining the UN, I really don’t see the point.
My biggest issue with the revived Playmates line was, exactly like you said, that they were just re-sculpts of existing figures. The original line was fine for how weird it got. If you were trying to play off nostalgia, maybe a better strategy would have been to do three normal figures, but then one that we never got.
“This character doesn’t kill, so put him in a situation where he has to, and see what he does instead.”
You know, honestly, the ending doesn’t suck. Those last few seasons just threw all logic out the window to get there that it wound up not being satisfying.
I am still amazed that movie screens, tv screens, cell phones, and tablets all figured out how to shoot video in a roughly compatible aspect ratio, after more than half a century of workarounds, and the consumers couldn’t handle just turning their phones side ways.
Agreed. I really liked Andor. But, I’m not crazy about Rogue One as it was released.
To quote John Carpenter:
The only reference to this I can find is that it was in an early script and per EW “It never got anywhere near being shot.”’
I’m not sure. We don’t know anything about the first cut apart from the fact that it didn’t have enough “four quadrant appeal.” It may have been amazing, but not safe enough for Disney.
For the same reason the article was written. Hate leads to comments, comments lead to clicks, clicks lead to... $$$$$
Harriman would have made admiral by now, but I’ve long wanted an Enterprise B show under Demora with Harriman and Sulu as supporting/mentor characters.
The extended Return of the King came out right before Christmas in 2023. So, we did a marathon that year on New Years Day. The three movies were the perfect length to just sit on the couch nursing a hangover.
Man, I’m starting to wonder why Doc Brown (Von Braun) chose time travel to occur at 88 mph.
I would love that as well. If they could do something to the scale/budget of the Star Wars adapatation where they bring back in a bunch of the deleted scenes it could be really interesting, especially for Attack of the Clones.
What’s left to resolve with Bakula? He chose to spend the rest of his life leaping and helping people.
I wouldn’t necessarily describe it as “full speed ahead.”
Really more that KJA was just notoriously a work for hire author who spent the 90s churning out forgettable tie-in novels for whatever franchise was popular that week.
