What were your thoughts on Birds of Prey? For whatever anyone can say about how they did Cassandra dirty, I loved how clearly that movie was shot with an R rating in mind.

It’s a shame we don’t have Christopher Plummer around anymore to step in when situations like this arise.

Unfortunately, I’m becoming increasingly convinced Disney doesn’t know how to do anything else.

This is the first positive thing I’ve ever heard about Peter and Wendy.

Maybe they’re just all so bad that it can still be the best?

Totally agree, and it did not take me long to take to him.  But my larger point is that the comics always seems to be running a major event that runs in direct opposition to brining on new readers after a mainstream project launches.

They aren’t going to kill Ms. Marvel months away from her movie debut in a random issue of Spider-Man.

I have a friend who, as we walked out of the theater for Royal Tenenbaums, said he thought Anderson was already in self parody mode. I thought that was ridiculous as I loved that movie... but then I had the same reaction when I walked out of Life Aquatic. I think it’s just the nature of his work.

I don’t understand why this site makes this distinction. I know it’s genre focused, but I, as a reader, am capable of branching out to other types of films. Why not just use the sci-fi movies as a way to introduce the readership to other films by the director?

The gag works better in Planet Terror because all the major plot points happen in the missing reel and they make a huge show of it. When it cuts to the new reel, all of the character’s relationships have changed and the story has significantly advanced.

Unless you have kids... then it’s a deal.

To address your exact point... I think the biggest reason that it’s relevant to discuss these old films in this exact context is to show that the Academy has pretty much been picking the wrong winner (with notable exceptions) since they Oscars were first introduced.

Vito & Nick’s has put out a frozen pizza and I’m a little shocked at how well it captured the flavor of the real thing.

Just think of how many unique, new, creative movies, say, Warner Bros could’ve funded for the cost of the nth failed reboot of Batman.

It’s a bunch of people riffing on topics they barely have a superficial understanding of.

My old creative writing professor always insisted that there was no such thing as spoilers — that if a book or movie was genuinely good, you could know exactly what happens and it would still be an excellent read/watch.

When I was a kid/teen doing REALLY stupid shit not everyone had a camera on person 24/7 so there isn’t any record of it LOL. I would hate to be a kid growing up now where everything you say or do can be videoed and shared with the world. Hell with some of the dumb stuff I did as a kid I’d probably be in jail if it

There are moderates and crazies on both sides of the aisle.

This is the correct take.
