I love the art style. It's so evocative, with such deceptively simplistic detail.

@lpranal: I saw an exhibit last summer at the Frick Art & Historical Center in Pittsburgh last year called "The Road to Impressionism: Barbizon Landscapes From the Walters Art Museum". Stunning stuff.

The second one makes me think of the show Home Movies. Very similar kind of humour, and Gordon's reaction would fit the show too (though the animation style is very different).
