Okay, I had to look up this one. The headline was too fucking much for me.

The guy is indeed a jackass, but the whole situation has been shown to be a gross misinterpretation of what actually happened. Even the Canadians have stated that he didn’t turn down aid, and instead directed them to the proper agency to get the ball rolling on it.

In theory, I love the beach. In reality, I usually want to leave after no more than 30 minutes.

Fuck the beach. The beach is the fucking worst. You know who goes to the beach? Miserable fucking people go to the beach, to pretend that they’re not miserable fucking people.

I went to Kyoto and there are a large number of companies there who will dress you up in traditional costume for a day. You can dress up in a nice kimono, but for a higher price, you can dress up like a maiko or geiko. Any geishas you would meet in the streets would actually be dressed up tourists. I went and dressed

Because they were forced to, Bestbuy doesnt sell water by the case, they sell it by the bottle and that price reflects a per bottle price. Just people complaining about nothing. There are real stories to be told.

This is ridiculous! There was no price gouging concerning the water at Best Buy or Home Depot. They sold the water for what they normally sold it for in the coolers individually x 12 or 24. There are literally hundreds of other stories to tell, yet you picked the one that’s a lie. You people make my head and heart

Don’t let perfect be the enemy of good. This is good.

Maybe it can be a teaching moment, like Robert Lee surrendering his announcing gig to Phil Grant.

The Root. Breitbart for black people.

Chris Long needs to check his privilege. It ain’t about him.

But not, y’know, white allies.

I’m going to treat your remarks with respect, and give you an honest, contemplated answer. I only ask that you do the same in response.

The policy Yale enacted after the Calhoun debacle is helpful here (via Matt Yglesias):

He didn’t blame the Confederate generals for their use of slaves. He blamed them for going to war against the United States.
