To be fair, Raph specified America.

But still, no-one is watching it. No point in having sponsors when no-one sees it and all you’re doing is putting your name on the same chassis as everyone else is driving.

Partly. I mean, for sure, EV is seen as the future, but that’s not why manufacturers are jumping to FE. Cost is what’s driving this. More specifically, ROI is driving this.

Dieselgate maybe a handy PR explanation but VW groups profits are up massively at the moment. I think it is more to do with the rumoured $200m budget for LMP1 is not considered money well spent.

Buncha glorified go-karts bleeding real racing series dry.

Honestly, I’ve never had a ton of interest in the LMP classes. I find the GTE cars much more interesting.

There is a great inner joy you get driving around a car that’s totally civilized when you want it to be, also totally quiet when you want it to be, and also gorgeous and fast and fun when you have the space and time. The car feels like it’s supporting you, which is not something you get in a lot of cars. (Though it’s

AND, it continues to outsell itself yoy. If it’s not broke, just add power and flare.

We all know that they are working on a Dodge Satan, 1000hp.

Ha, yeah! I really like it too... gotta remember to use it!

Excellent idea. Doin’ it.

I’d love to see it everytime we have a post about a redesigned vehicle.

I saw a Challenger on my way home last night. It could not stay in a straight line on the freeway, but he was not crossing lanes. I suspect the drive was trying unsuccessfully to turn.

In your own home you can as far as I’m aware. It may be superficially referred to as a “guest bedroom” or “guest bathroom” but legally it is simply part of your home. You only get into trouble when you start sharing that video around depending on who is filmed. But, installing and recording for security purposes?

So Greg put hidden cameras in his own house....... I fail to see the point here. Besides his ex-wife being upset, because former spouses never get bent out of shape over stupid shit. Ever

I always wonder what would happen if he just got in the car and drove away. I mean, is the Secret Service going to arrest the former Vice President for driving his own car? Seriously, if he really wanted to, there’s nothing stopping him, it would be totally ridiculous to even try. The Secret Service could just ride

Cars doing that speed at Bonneville run solid tires, sometimes solid aluminum is used. Those runs are also straight line runs also. The Bugatti has to do this on a track with lateral g-forces and stuff.

My best guess is that there are pretty significant differences between road-worthy tires and something like land speed record tires. For example, I found this blurb about the Mickey Thompson LSR specialty tires.

“Son, I would have let you off with a warning for going 300 mph in a 55 mph zone, but I see that your tires are not road legal and I’m afraid you’ve given me no other option.”
